Sam is an internationally awarded Brand Director/ Consultant. With 13+ years of experience, she has worked at a diverse set of companies like Airbnb, FLORENCE studio, TBWA\Media Arts Lab, BBH, and VICE; on brands such as Red Bull, adidas, Apple, Google, and most importantly, the Canadian retail giant/ national treasure: Canadian Tire.

She has spent her career pushing the boundaries of what defines an “ad”, which is demonstrated through work like ‘Welcome Home’ by Spike Jonze, for Apple HomePod. She has a broad range of category experience, focusing the last five years on tech and music.   


She has dedicated her spare time on initiatives like Times Up and Change the Lens. Through these programs, she has helped companies tackle the issue of underrepresentation and creating safe, inclusive work environments.

Earned 75+ International Awards

Led the Apple Music Team and built a new working model, specifically tailored for Apple Music’s high rate of execution.

  • Launched a new visual identity and system for Apple Music, globally. 

  • Helped grow Apple Music’s subscription base from 30M - 50M in 6 months and surpass Spotify in North America.

Launched Apple HomePod in key markets with the award winning film from Spike Jonze ‘Welcome Home’.  

  • The aim was to embed HomePod in the heart of music culture and position it as a high-fidelity, high-performance smart speaker to demonstrate the power of Apple’s ecosystem - hardware (HomePod) + software (Siri and Apple Music). 

  • Welcome Home" won 40+ international awards; earned over 900 articles of praise; was featured in the Tokyo Short Shorts Film Festival in October 2018, in Tokyo, Japan; the film will live on at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City as a result of its success.

  • The work also proved a new way to execute exclusivity on Apple Music.

Led the Brand Pod -  helped Apple tell consumers about their brand beliefs and acts, beyond products and ads.

  • Led the Google Play Music account

  • Orchestrated bringing together multiple disciplines and agencies (ATL, digital, social, media) to launch Google Play Music, oversaw global roll-out and localized campaign for LATAM.

  • Led the relationship with Google Mexico and launched a successful campaign for the new search product (new product in 2017, campaign is still live in 2019)

  • Launched a Kanye West artist - Kacy Hill, with an innovative and subversive digital experience

  • Celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Keeping Up With the Kardashians with a recreation of their original opening sequence which was picked-up by press like Refinery29 and posted by the Kards to their millions of fans
